Sears Holdings' Collins Assumes Chief Financial Officer Role and Company Names New Treasurer

Michael D. Collins becomes Chief Financial Officer and Fred Jasser becomes Treasurer

Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) announced that effective immediately, Michael D. Collins, previously Senior Vice President, Finance will begin serving as the company's Chief Financial Officer. On October 13, 2008, Sears Holdings named Collins to succeed J. Miles Reidy who will be leaving the company before the end of the fiscal year. "Mike has really hit the ground running and his transition work with Miles has exceeded our expectations," said Bruce Johnson, interim CEO and President. "I'd like to thank Miles for his continued leadership and assistance in facilitating that transition."

The company also announced today, that Fred Jasser has been named Sears Holdings' Vice President and Treasurer reporting to Sears Holdings' Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, William K. Phelan. Jasser most recently served as Vice President, Investment Banking Division for Goldman Sachs & Co. Collins noted, "Fred's diverse financial experience working with numerous companies in the retail, consumer products and business and financial services industries will help the company achieve our financial priorities."
