The Craftsman® Brand Hits the Road with "Picker" Frank Fritz in Search of America's Treasures and Classic Tools

Popular antique collector and picker Frank Fritz will review submitted treasures on the Craftsman Facebook page and appear at select Sears Hometown Stores

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Craftsman brand has teamed up with antique Americana collector and picker, Frank Fritz, to launch Finding America's Treasures, a program which will spotlight the backyard treasures and rusty gold found in garages, workshops and attics across the country. Fans can share a photo of their treasure and a brief description of its history with Fritz at facebook.com/craftsman, and be entered to win Craftsman gift cards each week from now until Aug. 12.

Fans who login and upload a photo of a new item are entered to win a $100 gift card, good towards the purchase of the latest Craftsman innovations. A total of five winners will be chosen each week.(1) Visitors to the page can also comment on each other's photos and interact with Fritz and other Craftsman fans.  

Finding America's Treasures will also host special events at 31 Sears Hometown Store locations across the country. At the events, fans will be encouraged to bring in items that have been hiding in their garage or attic and a local appraiser will provide a professional opinion of the item's value. Craftsman Club members can also receive a 10 percent discount off any Craftsman tool or lawn and garden purchases in-store that day. Event dates and locations include:

At eight of these locations, Craftsman will present a donation to the community to help bring some of America's most historic local treasures back to life.
