Kmart Names Leo Anguiano Vice President, Asset Protection

Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) today announced that Leo Anguiano, 34, will join the company as Vice President, Asset Protection, effective immediately.

In this new position, Anguiano will be responsible for Loss Prevention operations for Kmart's 2,100 stores, 18 distribution centers and headquarters campus as well as food safety, reporting directly to President and Chief Operating Officer Andy Giancamilli.

"Leo Anguiano brings more than 14 years of experience in retail Asset Protection to this new post at Kmart. His expertise will be a key resource as we strengthen our asset management processes," said Giancamilli.

Anguiano joins Kmart from Michaels Stores, Inc. where he served as Vice President, Loss Prevention, Risk Management and Audit. Anguiano began his Loss Prevention career with an entry level position with May Department Stores where he quickly moved through the ranks to Regional Manager. He then joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. as Regional Director moving up to Director Loss Prevention and Safety-Stores before joining Michaels Stores, Inc. as Senior Director Loss Prevention, Risk Management. Anguiano also completed coursework in Administration of Justice at El Camino Community College.
