Sears Commercial Solutions Strikes a Chord With Business-to-Business Customers

Musicians Send Memorable Message on 4.5 Million Parts and Accessories

Business-to-business customers can count on Commercial Solutions by Sears for their extensive parts and accessory needs. Sears provides direct access to one of the world's largest selections of parts and accessories -- for appliances, home electronics, lawn and garden equipment and power tools -- from more than 400 manufacturers. Wednesday in Orlando at the General Services Administration's (GSA) International Products & Services Expo, Sears presented the scope of their services in a unique and memorable manner.

Playing fan motors, icemakers, lint screens and stove drip pans, "Ken More and the All Parts Band" entertained more than 3,000 attendees with songs about having the parts you need when you need them. Toes tapped to the Country & Western rhythms as band members sang original songs including "My Screws May Be Loose But I've Got Hot Water Tonight," "Fixin' Up Some Good Times For My Dryer And Me," and the title track from the band's limited edition CD, "Give Me The Parts."

The band was present at the Expo to emphasize the importance of having one single source for parts and accessories to help manage businesses more efficiently. Commercial Solutions by Sears provides access to more than 4.5 million parts and repair services for most major brands, no matter who manufactures or sells them.

Sears has been serving the commercial needs of American business and industry for more than 60 years through Sears Commercial Sales as a leading supplier of appliances, industrial tools and their parts.      nearest Sears Parts & Repair Center.

"Ken More and the All Parts Band" was formed last year to launch Kenmore Genuine Parts. The band debuted in September at Sears Dealerfest 2000 in Nashville, Tenn., and captured customers' interest with their unusual array of instruments. The five talented, professional percussionists use appliance parts selected for the right sound, pitch and "clank" to perform down-home tunes that show the value of having the rights parts at the right time. Kenmore is the top-selling brand of appliances in the U.S. and is exclusive to Sears.

GSA is one of the central management agencies in the federal government that provides products and services to support the work of government throughout the country. GSA negotiates contracts that account for $40 billion of goods and services bought annually from the private sector.
