Kmart, HUGGIES® and March of Dimes Race for Healthy Metro-Detroit Babies in the Kmart/HUGGIES® Diaper Derby

Detroit-area babies will have the chance to win a supply of HUGGIES® Diapers and Baby Wipes on Saturday, April 17 at 1 p.m. in the Kmart/HUGGIES® Diaper Derby at the Kmart stores in Detroit and Rochester Hills. Baby racers will crawl from start to finish to benefit March of Dimes' Campaign for Healthy Babies. Infants twelve months and under can be entered into the Derby starting at 12:30 p.m. Kmart and HUGGIES® will donate $500 to the March of Dimes to commemorate the race.

Why: As part of Kmart's 2004 fund-raising event program for the March of Dimes, local residents can enter their babies into a "Diaper Derby" for a chance to win a supply of HUGGIES® Diapers and Baby Wipes. Additionally, from now until Mother's Day, May 9, the company will sell March of Dimes paper sneakers for $1 each to Kmart customers. The blue, white and red paper sneakers, symbolic of the real ones thousands of people lace up for WalkAmerica, are available for customers to purchase at any register. Last year, Kmart was the number-one team in America, raising more than $3.5 million for the March of Dimes.
