Sears Lends Voice, Contribution to Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Community Breakfast

Sears Associate Gospel Choir Distributes New Clothing Following Performance at Annual Legislative Conference Community Breakfast

Sears, Roebuck and Co., through its Sears American Dream Campaign, is partnering with Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. (K.I.D.S.) to donate more than $100,000 in new clothing to low-income families during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's 34th Annual Legislative Conference. The conference is being held at the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, D.C.

The Sears Associate Gospel Choir -- which is performing at the Community Breakfast for a second year at the request of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation -- will help distribute the clothing following their performance at the September 9 Community Breakfast.

"The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation appreciates the contribution Sears is making to local families in need," said Congressman Danny Davis (D-IL). "It's nice to see a company involved in outreach within a community where it does business."
