163 contestants were selected from over 2,500 entries to compete in the Kmart program that started in January. The comprehensive New Day Your Way website www.kmart.com/yourway, discussion boards, and bi-weekly email communications also offered information, support and encouragement to these contestants throughout the 16-week program.

"Every year, folks make goals to lose weight and eat healthier and many do not always find the motivation to stick to their plans," said Bill Stewart, chief marketing officer, Kmart. "The 'New Day, Your Way' program offers our customers encouragement to stay on track and reach their weight loss goals by providing rewards throughout their weight loss journeys. We are proud of our winners and all our participants, and hope that the encouragement they received during the contest will help them continue to lead healthier lives down the road."
